Do Bugs Need Drugs?

I had the opportunity to work on a small health related project this summer building some basic games and interactive activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of proper hand-washing.

You might not know this, but washing your hands with non antibacterial soap is one of the most effective things you can do to prevent getting sick! I like taking on projects related to health and kids, and when then involve both, even better!

While I don’t promote my Flash and ActionScript skills as much, now that I’m focusing primarily on iPhone, I have been using Flash for well over a decade. While many people focus on the design side of Flash, I went the opposite route and become a expert in advanced AS3 coding, focusing on games and interactive applications.

I still think Flash has it’s place and although it will most likely never make it to the iPhone, it does look like it will make it onto just about every other mobile device, which is why I have not given up on it.

Here are a few of the kids games and activities I worked on for the Do Bugs Need Drugs project. Have fun!

Interactive Story Telling on the iPhone

Over a year and a half ago, I worked with BoggleNoggin Media to create one of the most advanced interactive story engines on the iPhone. It is only now that new readers are coming onto the scene that are competing with the features I designed back then, but the trusty little story engine I built is still holding it’s own.
